I would like to promote Mandala Painter more. If you would tell me, where did you hear about the program first, that would help me a lot.

I have always been fasinated with mandalas and kalideascope images so when I googled it and the auroraborealis had a program that was still in development I couldent wait till it came out. Then when I saw version 3 on youtube I checked the site every day till it came out.

I'm new to the forum but not to Mandala Painter 3. I downloaded it back in January and have loved using it ever since.

In response to the question, I found out about it like the other user did, through Google. I was looking for a drawing program that had a kaleidoscope tool or feature, like the old drawing program for the Macintosh computers, MacPaint. I remember using that program when I was a child, and enjoyed it very much.

I found out about Mandala Painter 1 through the search. Downloaded it, tried it, and loved it. I wanted to register it before the 15-day trial was up but at the time the site was still down for Christmas (this was in mid-January). By the time the site was back up, my free trial had run out, and the program was uninstalled. I tried reinstalling it, but it would not let me access it. Once the site was back online, I downloaded version 3 and have enjoyed it since.

The only thing I do with it is I use the outline shapes to form my mandalas, which I plan to print out in the future and color at my leisure. When I was a child, I had a mandala coloring book my dad bought for me at some local New-Age store. I loved coloring the patterns for hours on end. I have several already drawn, and intend to do a few more before creating my own "book", which I am sure I will enjoy as much as I did the one I had as a child.

Anyway, ever thought of producing the program as a Boxed, store shelved, retail version? I was thinking this company:
