I'm am so lost with this software. It's a wonderful program with so much to offer. I can see the great mandalas others have made with it, yet it doesn't seem reachable because of the poor help files.
The videos are useless because they are so small and move way too fast to even know what's being clicked on. Why don't you have a tutorial on a mandala from start to finish showing the different tools and capabilities of the software? The forums are dead, no answers here. I've sent numerous emails with no answer yet.
I purchased another program after this one and the website help is incredibly good. They take you through a mandala from start to finish and explain what all the menu items are one by one. I was able to produce a decent mandala in no time. I have yet to do that with mandala painter.
Mandala painter is a more sophisticated program than the other one and I'd very much like to learn it. The results can be gorgeous.
Yes, experimenting is all part of learning, but I don't want to take weeks to learn something that can be easily learned in a matter of a couple of hours given the proper help and documentation.
With things like photoshop, you can google and get answers. There are not answers for Manadala Painter out there.
I don't want to sound harsh, because I love the idea and it's well done, but the help is so lacking that it's almost impossible to learn intuitively. There are some functions that aren't explained at all in help.
Thanks for listening. If there's any Mandala Painter owners that are willing to help please contact me through the forum.

Unfortunatelly, sometimes it takes some days to answer. Photoshop has millions of users. Mandala Painter has only some hundreds. Photoshop made by several dozens of people, while Mandala Painter made by only one. Please don't compare the two.
Yes, I have plans to make more video tutorials, but not at the moment. You can pause the videos in the help file, and look carefully which menu item was pressed.
Some users complained that the setup file is huge. If I put bigger videos into the help file it could be several hundreds of megabytes to download...

Hi Zoltan, Thank you for replying.
I really wasn't comparing your program to Photoshop. What I was trying to say is that because there aren't as many users of Mandala Painter, you aren't going to find help by googling. That's why in my opinion, the help files on your website and/or that come with the program should be more extensive.
I don't think you need to have the videos included with the program. Why not just have them on the website. They don't even have to be videos. Why not just some screenshots with written instructions.
It would be amazing and very, very helpful to see a mandala made from start to finish.
The other mandala software I purchased has no help files in the download. Everything is on their website. I was able to make a mandala within hours because everything was explained.
I'm still trying to understand what the "center" function in edit does, nor can I find Center in the help index.
That's one of the things I'm having a lot of trouble with. How do you center each _layer_ one over the other. I'm sure it can be done, but I can't figure it out.
I love this program and what it can do, my only complaint is the lacking help files.
For now, I guess I'll just email you with questions I have as I go along. Thank you for your time.
PS ~ Another idea, because you are so busy, might be to recruit some users of Mandala Painter to do some tutorials for the site. There are some beautiful mandalas in the gallery and I'd love to see how some of them are achieved.

Hi, I had plans to make video tutorials. I even bought a microphone to do that Please do not mail me, it's better to ask in the forums because others can read the answers. To center the _layer_s, you can copy the center of one _layer_ and paste onto the others one by one. It would be fine to find users to make turorials, I would be very happy, but nobody indicated to me... Zoltan

...ok, I'll ask questions here In an email you asked me to clarify what I meant by lineup/center. I want to know how you make sure the finished mandala is totally symmetrical. That the centerpiece is perfectly in the middle and that the _layer_s are all centered perfectly. I'm not sure what you mean copy the center of one _layer_. How is that done? I couldn't find anything in help on how to do that. Is this how you make sure everything is symmetrical? Thanks.

I purchased another program after this one and the website help is incredibly good.If Zoltan doesn't mind can you tell us which program it is and which website is so good. I agree with you that video is not the best way to explain things but MP3.0 is a one man project and I understand why Zoltan has chossen to do so. OTOH, I never had any problem understanding MP3.0 (excepted with the _script_ing engine that I don't use) but I learned with MP1.0 so perhaps I already knows the basics? The forum are quiet but I guess the user_base_ is low and busy painting mandala's @admin: Why is the forum _script_ adding "_" to some words?

_ Maybe it's a anti hack stuff. Some words have meaning in _java_script__/HTML and could do some crazy thing.(_layer_, _script_ etc.)

Please, do create some tutorials. Your soft is amazing, _base_d on the demo, but we need some tutorials to buy it.
