using a "radar view" of the grid would be imho more useful.
It will be easier to see the "pie slices" and align the symbols

Sounds interesting...
I don't use the grid tool, I am curious how many user works with it. Maybe in the next version, I have to examine how hard to implement it. Thanks for your idea!

When I had Mandala Painter 1 I always used to the polar coordinate feature in the grid, and the grid itself, whenever I drew a mandala. I always use the grid in Mandala Painter 3. The polar coordinates allowed the user to center or position the shapes on the mandala more evenly, so they wouldn't seem off-centered.
